Newburyport's Priciest Sale Tops $2 Million While Median Holds at $1.1 Million

Newburyport recorded 14 property transfers between Aug. 21 and Sept. 19, though only seven carried a recorded sale price so far. Among those seven, prices ranged from $856,500 to $2,095,000, with a median of $1,115,000. The period's top sale was 5 Knights Lane, Lot 10, which sold for $2,095,000 on Sept. 18. The data also show two Franklin Street properties, plus three other holdings, moving into family trusts or related entities rather than to outside buyers at a disclosed price. With half the period's sales still awaiting recorded prices, the available data point to steady, if incomplete, transaction activity rather than a clear shift up or down.
