Newburyport Home Sale Tops $1.4 Million as Deed Filings Show Mostly Undisclosed Prices
Newburyport recorded 14 property transfers between July 24 and Aug. 22, per Essex County Registry of Deeds filings, but only four listed a sale price. Disclosed prices ranged from $785,000 to $1,400,000, with a median of $904,500. The period's top transaction was 40 Frances Dr., Lot 111, which sold for $1,400,000 on Aug. 18 from Joseph P. LeClair to Tadhg S. Curtin, as trustee. At least eight of the 14 deeds appear to be transfers within the same family or into a personal trust, which likely explains why most carried no disclosed price. No street had more than one recorded sale.
